Support in the classroom

In addition to our courses Your Ideal Classroom and Learning Experience Design, Dock20 supports schools there where it actually happens: the classroom. We help teachers to design new programs and guide teams in introducing innovative educational concepts.

Also, we assist teachers in designing meaningful learning experiences (courses, minors, etc.) that will leave a big impact on your students and boost their study progress.

What happens if Social Studies students feel what it means to be standing in the shoes of a homeless client? What if Law students experience the world behind legislation? And what if students see, feel and experience  what it essentially means to be a practitioner of their future profession?

Need help to give shape to new ideas about education? Let’s have a cup of coffee and explore where Dock20 can help.

Summerschool

What is it?

Leadership for Sustainable Innovations (LSI) is a two-week (4.0 ECTS), international summer school, which aims at equipping participants with hands-on, innovative problem-solving skills in the field of sustainability. In this two-week journey, the students are assigned to tackle a sustainability challenge for a real assignment provider.  LSI’s methodology is based on  the principles of the Theory U (by Otto Scharmer) and offers participants a three-fold learning experience where head, hands and heart are combined.

For whom?

Minor Exploring Leadership

What is it?

An intensive minor program of 15 ECTS, where (international) students explore the latest leadership theories (head), reflect on their personal leadership (heart) and where they work in project teams on real live assignments from local assignment providers (hands). 35 students of the The Hague University of Applied Sciences scored this program with 9 out of 10!

For whom:

Students who are aware that they can make a difference with their talents. This program could also be interesting for program coordinators who need to add an (international/English) course to their program. The basis of the program is fully developed and can be adapted to any wish or program.
